Settled Housing Solutions were invited by the Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG) to contribute to their response to the highly regarded ‘Rugg Review’ of the Private Rented Sector (PRS), with particular regard to our work on 'Social Lettings Agency' models.

The DCLG subsequently recommended that introducing ‘Social Lettings Agency' (SLA) models can enable local authorities to work more constructively with the PRS in their area.

Central Bedfordshire Council's Social Letting Agency Model

Central Bedfordshire Council commissioned Settled Housing Solutions to develop a Social Letting Agency Model for their Housing Service.

The model, named Let's Rent, is now successfully housing homeless families in sustainable, good quality accommodation in the local Private Rental Sector provided and managed by professionally regulated Social lettings agencies.
