Settled Housing Solutions are pleased to offer you SettledTenant - Tenant Training Workshops.
The workshops are designed and aimed specifically for new tenants and housing teams assisting tenants with taking on the responsibilities of rented accommodation.
SettledTenant - Tenant Training Workshops are:
- An excellent way to help tenants successfully maintain their tenancies whether they are in the private or social sector
- A way of building confidence between local authorities and their local private landlords and letting agents
- A practical Homelessness Prevention Tool which helps reduce the risk of rent arrears and possible evictions
- A way of reducing the demands on both time and financial resources to local authorities of tenancy intervention
The workshops are designed to be fully interactive with group sessions, short film scenarios and review sessions with the resulting outcome of enabling support staff to provide consistent lifestyle advice and support to people taking on financial, accommodation and community responsibilities for the first time.
This workshop has been developed with housing professionals and covers:
 |
· Budgeting sensibly
· Community awareness
· Being a good neighbour
· Understanding the rights and
responsibilities of the tenancy
· Repairs and improvements.
|
The flexible training programme can also be designed to incorporate individual local authorities, housing associations or housing charities particular homelessness prevention and early intervention priorities.
 |
We can offer a training workshop and full training pack with all the tuition materials to enable housing and supported housing partners to deliver to new or existing tenants of all tenures, ages and circumstances. |
Alternatively we can deliver the workshop to tenants on your behalf. This may be especially of interest to supported, charity and voluntary housing organisations.

| Ultimately the workshops are for new tenants and they are designed to be facilitated and fully interactive for the participants with the use of media and fun exercises to enable delegates to fully appreciate what is expected of a successful tenancy. |
