Alan has held senior and high profile positions in a London local housing authority and is also successful in private residential property investment. He has been responsible for setting up landlord advisory services and introducing innovative and sustainable A.S.T frameworks. His achievements and leadership instilled a new level of confidence in the service and enabled them to re-structure and offer a more ‘preventive’ housing service whilst making significant contributions to the services private sector renewal, housing supply, housing need and supporting people strategies.
This has made him very well placed, therefore, to understand and respect the strategic objectives of a housing service and the commercial outcomes and business risk associated with the private rental sector.

Alan has a post graduate degree in Business Management from the University of Westminster which he combines with a solid grounding in project management, research skills and engagement techniques. Alan is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and the National Landlords Association.
Alan's private sector housing solutions were celebrated as ‘Best Practice’ by a wide range of agencies connected to the housing and homelessness community. Encouraged by this, he decided to set up Settled Housing Solutions Consultancy Service.
